When we speak of improvisation we usually imagine one who is ‘playing’, rather than one who is 'listening and playing'.
However, improvisation is a dialog between one’s self and the others who are performing.
In this workshop we will explore ways to follow our creativity. I will share how to use one ear to listen to the inner landscape (individual ear) and one ear to listen the ensemble (collective ear). We will also learn ways to communicate with our bodies and instruments as well as how to create the right space in which to express it.
This is an advanced class for musicians and performers.
