merging into the beauty of art...
This PODCAST is to share with you some of my live concerts and inspirations of life. You are welcome to subscribe and be automatically updated with new entries.
These last years my research has led me to fuse different styles and musical expressions. I was inspired to create songs with ancient instruments and to bring together sounds from different origins into the electronic world. This album is the outcome of that musical path.
Most of these songs are drawn from soundtracks for movies and documentaries that I have worked on. I am grateful to all those who have realized the images that inspired me to compose this music. A special thanks to all the musicians involved...
The sound of the Hang is so incredibly rich. Played softly it sounds like a flute, played louder the metal resonates as a Gamelan. At times you can hear echoes of the marimba and at other times there are hints of strings or harp playing pizzicato. The bass note punctuates the rhythm like a gong. It is like playing with an ensemble...
This variety of frequencies create a texture that stimulates a multiplicity of emotions. The effect is mesmerizing, and it intrigues and seduces all those who listen to it. The Hang evokes an exquisite and delicate inner landscape of spaciousness and vitality.
An ambience, a sonic tapestry, an atmosphere that is spacious and easy to immerse oneself in.
The sounds drift in and out of awareness, like the scent of nearby incense...
The tracks, called Passage, are extended contemplative improvisations for Hang and Electric Guitar with custom looping software.

This is a link to some unpublished tracks that provide a sampling of the different languages I create with instruments and through digital editing.
For more music for soundtracks, I suggest also to listen to samples from the cd ‘Mood’ and from the other ones as well (see above).
