Samavesha is a non-profit performing arts organization

that unites art, nature and community.

Founded by visionary Italian artistic director Laura Inserra, Samavesha has the mission to bring multidisciplinary performances to the community. Samavesha creates a platform for local and international artists to participate and engage in collaborative events that bring awareness of artistic expression and environmental responsibility. Doing this we provide a model for innovative actions that inspire contemporary and future generations.

Samavesha engages local and international artists in collaborative and experientially-based events showcasing all forms of artistic expression. Samavesha’s events strengthen our connection with the natural world and each other, and inspire environmental action. Samavesha creates an occasion for both performers and participants to become fully immersed in the nature of art.

1. ✴ MULTI-DISCIPLINARY PERFORMANCES
   

We produce high-quality concerts, innovative performances, and immersive experiences featuring local and international artists, combining traditional and contemporary art forms. These events support not only artists but also important social and environmental causes.

1. ✴ ARTISTIC COLLABORATIONS
   

Through its international network of experienced artists working in a diversity of traditional and contemporary forms of art, Samavesha inspires fertile inter-disciplinary collaborations. Samavesha artists support each other’s work through mutual professional guidance.

1. ✴ ART IN NATURE EVENTS
   

Samavesha’s events bridge art and nature, revealing to the public that human creativity is one of nature’s many sacred expressions. Samavesha raises awareness about our place in the natural world, and inspires action.

1. ✴ COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
   

Community-based events sited at schools, camps, health care facilities, community centers, parks, hospitals, and festivals engage the public with an array of Samavesha artists and collaborators.

Photos, videos and recordings allow us to create media currents, as well as to broaden our connection to a wider audience online and provide a digital resource that will continue to inspire future generations.
