Purple Moon Dance Project and Artistic Director Jill Togawa present When Dreams Are Interrupted, a riveting performance that uncovers the profound imprint left on a neighborhood by the forced removal and mass evacuation of Japanese American communities in 1942.
As part of the tour, When Dreams weaves together Lodi's community history, personal stories, dance, visual art, and live music. Collaboration by choreographer Jill Togawa and visual artist Ellen Bepp.
Original music by
Claudia Cuentas and Laura Inserra,
with special guest musician TBird.
Performances by Arisika Razak, Michelle Fletcher, Ruth Ichinaga
